Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is an initiative undertaken by KIIT University to strengthen knowledge and skill of all the faculties to impart qualitative education programme. Like every year, this year also Faculty Development Programme was conducted at KIIT University from June 24-30-2017.

As a part of this, Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences(KINS) organized two-day Faculty Development Programme on June 29-30,2017.Prof.(Mrs.) Amrita Lenka, Principal KINS, Prof.(Mrs.) Niyati das, Vice Principal and Prof. Angela Gnanadurai, Principal, jubilee Mission College of Nursing, Kerala inaugurated the programme.

Topic of the first session, taken by prof.Gnanadurai, was “Meta Analysis as Evidence in Research”. The session was followed by group discussion and critical analysis by the faculty members. The second session was taken by Dr. Anita Anusuya, State Team Leader, JHPIEGO and her team on “Virtual Classroom teaching”. Prof. (Mrs.)Tapathi Saha, HOD, Community Health Nursing, SOA University gave a positive talk on the challenges of Nursing Education in 21st century. Mr.R.Asokan, Associate Professor, KINS took a session on the topic “Professional Development and Accountabilities”. The session enlightened the faculty members on various ways to develop and groom themselves professionally. On the second day, all the faculty members were involved in group work, moderated by Mr.Asokan.

All the speakers were felicitated by Prof. Lenka at the end of their respective session. The FDP concluded with thanks to all the speakers and the participants.
