• The services are manned by efficient laboratory technologists and supported by highly qualified teaching faculty from the department of Pathology, Department of Biochemistry, Department of Microbiology and the Department of Forensic Medicine
• The services are integrated by the Hospital Information System and the Laboratory Information System for a seamless patient care.
• The Central Laboratory has an accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration of Laboratories (a constituent board of quality council of India) in accordance with standard ISO 15189:2012 for Medical Laboratories- Requirement of quality and competence.
• The Central Laboratory has the capability of serving approximately 3000 patients a day.
• The Central Laboratory supports the Super speciality services of the hospital, namely the Renal Transplantation Program, Department of Oncology, Department of Rheumatology and Immunological Disorders, Department of Gastroenterology, Department of Cardiology/Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery, Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery.
• The Central Laboratory Services reaches out to the underprivileged community in Odisha, a passion of the founder of KIIT group of institutions, Prof Dr Achyuta Samanta.
