The department of neurology is one of the advanced service providers among all super-speciality department of KIMS. There are 3 faculties running the department who are trained from country’s best neurology institute. Multiple Patient care services are provided like everyday OPDs, 24 x 7 neurological emergencies with specified Neuro ICUs and dedicated neuro intensivist. Apart from this, we have a dedicated stroke care team who are ready round the clock to take care of all acute stroke emergencies with facilities of stroke thrombolysis, neuro intervention like DSA, mechanical thrombectomy and surgery. We are seeing all type of adult neurological cases like Epilepsy, stroke, Demyelinating diseases like Multiple sclerosis, movement disorders like Parkinson’s disease, nerve and muscle diseases and pediatric neurological diseases. Our department is equipped with advanced EEG machine with video EEG to deal with all epilepsy cases, Nerve conduction and EMG machine for all neuro muscular disorders with almost 10-12 cases done every day by two expert neurotechnician. To add to the diagnostic services, we have round the clock CT machine with CT angio, USG machine for doppler studies, 1.5T MRI machine with facilities of MR angio, MR Spectro and MR perfusion studies. Therapeutic procedures like administration of Botulinum toxin for dystonia are routinely done in our OPDs. We also have dedicated neuro sub-specialty clinics like Epilepsy clinic, stroke clinic, movement disorder clinic and pediatric neurology clinic. Our aim is to provide best neurologic care to our patients.
